A poem inspired by Selena Gomez's The Heart Wants What It Wants
My heart
Has the map to yours
Almost got lost
In its quicksand soil
Twisted my ankle
On a road full of thorns
Cut my fingers bloody
Trying to pick up a rose
My bad eyes failing To find the petals
Crawled on
And fell fast asleep
In your whispering poppy fields
It had your aroma
It had your aroma
Where dreams are reality
But A plan foiled
As I woke up to a rainstorm
In those treacherous paths
Of A love that devours all
Conflicting histories
Spider webs of deceit
Cataclysms filled up with mystery
The Walls screaming for sustenance
On the rough terrain
Etched in cracked lines
Lay past heartbreaks
Faced with skeleton bones
Laced in gold-red cages
and glass shattered trinkets
Love and other drugs
High on the climb
But fell so disastrously
With every breath
Your heart nearly breaks
With All the time wasted
With the clumsy hands, who handled you first
We're broken
Broken together
Share the same feathers
And Weathered the storm
Foaming
At the mouth
As we put our shattered pieces back together
