The Matrix: A poem

MATRIX

I am made up of numbers
Serial bar Tatted in my flesh
On the back of my neck

A leash was once there

I grovel to my fresh digits
They're my sustenance
But It's all funny, really

We think we're free
My brain can't take the leap
We think we're free
For cogs in the machine

Question marks gnaw in my brain
Every day in this invisible cage
But I can break free
I swear
For a cog in the machine

Dirty water nurtures me
Plastic posies
Growing like weeds
Cover up my body and My feet
Blocking up the way
Blinding me
But....
They smell sweet
The heavy perfume
Masking scraps
And crap manure

I'm Alice Down the Rabbit Hole

I'm Alice down the Rabbit Hole
Falling through forever
Grasping tangled roots
at the Nether region entrance
And no one's answered
By the opener of doors
My anchor to a silly little thing called home
To stop in its tracks this land travelling
Between these different realms
Hammered out by a mad man's hands
In His draught spells

Very strange places
With twisting clocks
And swirling faces
Bone-bending tonics
Whirling checkered halls
Making me dizzy
That go on and on For days and days on end
And I'm the game piece in the middle of it
The most important piece
What are they playing at? I say, as Alice
In those doors of perception

"Mind Configurments and Confundies, and Stumpers, Lumpers, Dilumpers, Dunfers, and Wzzlies and Tizzies,' and worst of all, Twizzers and Bendies," says the Mad Hatter
'But for what purpose?' Say I, Alice
'So nothing makes sense ever again.'
And he chuckles
'So the figuring can be the harder, and nothing in our games are ever too easy."

Their Palaces rent cloud spaces in the skies
The Small locks to be got
Through shrinking or growing tall
...Or small

Homes in the looking glass
Face the Facts ugly faces lack
No one can disturb them now

And the Dawn gets tired, so it tells Dusk to stay for awhile
Stars dust the brilliant oranges of the sky
Houses built out of chess pieces
Fear the Malfeasance
Kicking them out

Upside down faces watching me Wixwazzle
But I survive and find
That time stands still
No fast progress
The backward walkways being the evidence

 The calendar's been happily erased
From the day My descent took place
A newly born babe
In a history changed
The jabberwocky slayed
With all its ugly heads
That one small trip
Had me so frightened
Has changed everything

Everything so warped
So Topsy curvy
But
So focused
So poignant
I'm still on the checkerboard
A piece in the game

But When I woke back to home
I found our world the more stranger
For stumbling into reality
I see
Wonderland at least
Has the decency To admit it's insanity

'I can't breathe' 2014 Tribute

A Sandra quote: 'And hate breeds more hate, 'til love evaporates.'

No, I can't breathe
The air is scarce
Its sweetness
Deprived from me
It's free air
And its torturing me
I'm gasping
for the sustenance
It's peculiar release
From the current situation
Please
But I'm being denied
Each time

It's really the only thing we actually  need

But no, I can't breathe
No, I can't breathe

We all try to struggle
Against the chokeholds
Of our little roles
In society
It keeps getting tighter
We try to get higher
In our drugs & ectasy
Because we know
Tomorrow will come
We have to put on a good show

This tightrope dance
Keep your balance

Dance for our masters
Maybe, hopefully
 they'll throw us a bone
We're on the tightrope
The lights too bright
Double vision in the eyes
Making us burn Inside

All the time now
Every movement
Is being watched from an eagle's eye
Perched from above
And everything we say, is being logged.

We're the ants under the microscope.

No, I can't breathe. No, I can't breathe.
The air is stifling.

The Heart Wants What it Wants (A poem)

A poem inspired by Selena Gomez's The Heart Wants What It Wants

My heart
Has the map to yours
Almost got lost
In its quicksand soil
Twisted my ankle
On a road full of thorns
Cut my fingers bloody
Trying to pick up a rose
My bad eyes failing To find the petals

Crawled on
And fell fast asleep
In your whispering poppy fields
It had your aroma
Where dreams are reality
But A plan foiled
As I woke up to a rainstorm

In those treacherous paths
Of A love that devours all

Conflicting histories
Spider webs of deceit
Cataclysms filled up with mystery
The Walls screaming for sustenance

On the rough terrain
Etched in cracked lines
Lay past heartbreaks
Faced with skeleton bones
Laced in gold-red cages
and glass shattered trinkets
Love and other drugs

High on the climb
But fell so disastrously
With every breath
Your heart nearly breaks
With All the time wasted
With the clumsy hands, who handled you first

We're broken
Broken together
Share the same feathers
And Weathered the storm
Foaming
At the mouth
As we put our shattered pieces back together

Do you want to be better at...
